Welcome to our hobby, passion, and crazy adventures! Our names are Matthew and Amy and we are the Gallivanting Geese.
We’ve been traveling together ever since Amy accepted Matthew’s marriage proposal in 2016 and instilled in him her wanderlust spirit. In the years since then, we have traveled to some amazing locations and learned A LOT along the way. We started this website after realizing how much we love to share about our adventures. When we have casual conversations, at dinner parties, or just a play day at the park with kids, the conversation almost always to turns travel, places to visit, things to do, and must-sees and expereinces.
We love to travel where we live and beyond.
We were both born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the USA and love to experience all its wonderful destinations have to offer. Whether it’s flying, driving, hiking, walking, or swimming we’ve traveled all over this amazing part of our country. The Pacific Northwest has something to offer everyone from the hard-core vacationer to casual weekender, the avid outdoors lover to the urban explorer.
While we certainly haven’t seen it all, we’ve definitely enjoyed everything we have seen so far. And we’re always looking forward to seeing even more.
One of the best things about traveling where we live is that there’s so much close by to see and do. Just a few hour’s drive from our home will put us into a whole new world of experiences.
We do travel outside our local areas, so you will get a taste of those as well.

Sharing our traveling adventures with our friends and family is so enjoyable for us. We have a passion to spread the knowledge that we’ve learned and the things we’ve seen to everyone we can. One of our goals is to expose people to an area that might be new to you. Come, learn, and have fun with us along the way!
But, why?
Our answer is: WHY NOT?! We find so many little-known and out-of-the-way treasures in our travels that are just too good to keep to ourselves. Another of our goals is to spread the news for small businesses. Have an amazing small restraurant, art, or business? We LOVE those best and love to promote people’s hardwork and talent!

Gardner Caves are amazing. Super knowledgeable guide and beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. Well worth the drive.
Along with the cave, it’s also a beautiful drive all the way up there. There’s forests and mountains in every direction and the beautiful Pend Orielle River.
